Susan Collins’ primary challenger says fight against assault conviction shows integrity

It's important for parents to know who they're voting for.

This is Erick Bennett.  He has always been fun to watch because he's an idiot.  However, running for senator on a pro-family platform because you're upset with your domestic violence convictions?  That by far takes the cake.

I think there's probably a little more to this story than that.  Actually, I think it's because his ex was able to use that conviction to keep him from being allowed to see his kid. This is why he supported LePage so viciously back when he was running for governor.  He thought that LePage would help fathers in this kind of situation.  LePage, however, has done just the opposite.
And here's what the women's groups will use against him to see to it that he looses the primary.
I do gotta give him credit.  It's certainly not for a lack of trying.  After all, he once claimed to be LePage's social networking strategist, ran for Mayor of Portland without being able to get enough signatures to get on that ballot, led the fight against gay marriage in Maine, and now this.
I really wish the YouTube video's of him defending his DV conviction while dressed in his underwear was still on there, but he took those down.

Anyway, I feel sorry for Mr. Bennett.  Not because I believe he is guilty or innocent of anything, but because Maine is so stuck on the politically correct bandwagon that he wouldn't get elected as the city garbage man.
