Kids Count finds more Maine children living in poverty

Here we go.

Apparently Maine isn't as good of a place to raise your kids as we thought.
The Annie E. Casey Foundation's annual Kids Count report says the number of Maine children living in poverty grew from 42,000 in 2008 to 45,000 in 2013.

And what was the big issue?
The report says Maine's child poverty rate of 18 percent in 2013 was higher than before the recession, when it was 16 percent.
Which totally sucks and shows that either the states current economic policies are failing or that parents are lazy and need to get up off their duffs and get better jobs!
